If you are employed now, the court can not see in to the future. While it might reserve the issue of support if you are earning 35K and have been self supporting without him, you may not receive current support. You need to sit down with a lawyer and go over your entire fact situation - it also appears you live in Cook County - where many judges do not like to award maintenance in situations such as you appear to present. But do not avoid the issue. Find a lawyer.
