Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I'm trying to seek a divorce the cheapest way possible. My husband and I have no community property, no children, and no things to contest. We have lived apart over 2 years and he lives ut of stateat the moment. What paperwork is necessary to get the ball rolling and can we avoid havng to hire a lawyer?

Illinois does not have community property. You may be able to file a joint simplified divorce. The forms should be available at the Clerk's office. No attorneys are involved.
