Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

He did not sign the birth cert

I was married to my husband at the time of my son's birth. But he did not sign the cert because he was not present. Can I get his name off? OH! The only thing my son has to do with IL is his birth. He has been a Floridan for almost 4 years now. Was never an Illinoisan. Do I go through FL or IL court?

Where is the father at? If he is still in IL, he can later attack an order that was signed in FL. If he is here, I would do it here just to make sure. There are other factors to consider. Feel free to let me know where the father is or if you know where he is, that would help.
