Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
Is signing a VAP at the time of birth and also having the fathers name on a child's birth certificate enough to establish paternity if the 2 parents are not married. The mother is now refusing visitation (because she is mad) [email protected] it's not clear what the next step should be. This is for Illinois.

Without a court order for visitation, Dad can do nothing. And when he seeks an order for visitation/parenting time, a support order will also be entered against Dad. Being a Dad doe snot give Dad any enforceable right to see his child. So if he wants to be able to do so he must commence legal proceedings against Mom.
