Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I have sole custody of my son. He is 17 and has asked my husband, his stepfather to go with him to sign up for the air force, is my husband considered a legal guardian? Or would I have to go with to sign him up?

Your husband is not his legal guardian. Legally he has no rights. You have to go.
