Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My son father just lost his job. Do i need to reapply for child support? Or does it automatically restart once he gets a new job? How do i reapply if not? Does he still owe me the support that he missed?

He owes the Court Ordered support. He can go to Court to seek relief, but you do not need to do anything. If he gets a new job that pays more than his old job, you may want to go to Court to seek an increase.
