My Son

My girl friend took my son to a anouther state with no job no car and is staying with family. She requested me to get a certfied statement saying i will pay 300.00 a mo for child support so She can get wellfare in that state. I told her not to take him away from me without having a job or a car. Before she left my son was taking care of by me. Now im scared of his well being. What can i do to get him back here where i know he will be safe

Your girlfriend is not allowed to leave the state with the child. You need to get an attorney and file an emergency petition to return to status que, forcing her to return to the state. It also sounds like you need to have a custody hearing. You have to move fast on such matters, because if the child is gone from the state long enough, the new state becomes the child's home state, and the court will say you must have let her go since you did not fight it.
