Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My son's father has twice verbally attacked me at our son's psychiatrist appointments in front of the doctor. I shouldn't feel threatened trying to take my son for health care. Luckily our son was in the waiting room at the time. He also recently badmouthed me to my son telling him "your mother refuses to talk to me" but left out the fact that he is hostile, verbally abusive and hateful to me. He continually makes up lies and grandiose ideas for why I'm an awful parent, and continually tries to convince our son's mental health professionals that he should have primary residental custody because of this. It's to the point where I can't get proper care for my son at appointments because of him. What can I do?
