Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I am a South African citizen, married to a South African citizen for 22 years. We lived in South Africa, but relocated a year and a half ago to the USA, my work transferred me. We received our green cards in April of this year. Subsequently my husband and I want to get a divorce. Will this impact the green card status or subsequent citizenship application. We both plan to stay in the USA.
