I would suggest that you first get extensive counseling for yourself. After 30 years of abuse, you have undoubtedly suffered severe blows to your own self esteem. Speak with DV agencies in your area and an attorney there with experience in domestic violence, they can best tell you how to proceed. One thing you should consider is that speaking about your own DV issues and experiences is best reserved for group shares similiar to Alanon meetings. Entities that are going to pay you to speak about domestic violence are not necessarily interested in your personal experiences or in letting you trash your ex-husband. They are interested in learning about what resources are available in the community to protect victims and what rights victims have. The fact that your ex was able to get his conviction sealed or possibly expunged says a lot. You need to proceed carefully.
