Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Out of State Child Visitation

My ex-husband resides in Texas and was granted a visitation schedule allowing him to see our 6 year old son every other weekend. He rarely visited but is now asking that my son fly to Texas for visitation. How can I fight this? My son and his father do not have any sort of established relationship.

Re: Out of State Child Visitation

I'd like to hear more about the situation. Was the father given that visitation schedule when he resided in TX? Or was that the schedule when he was local and now he's moved to Texas?

If the move to Texas is recent I'd get into court and change the visitation schedule. If that's what the court ordered knowing the father was in Texas you're stuck with it.
