Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Stay order

My ex is being deployed to Iraq in March and last year he was order to pay $750.00 in legal fees. His lawyer just submitted a motion to stay or hold any suits till after his deployment. My questions, what are my chances of being able to one prove that currently they is not suit but he has disobeyed the courts orders to pay and he is still in the US until March?

Re: Stay order

Well, you can file a response to his motion outlining those very facts you mentioned. Given that your ex is about to be deployed as a serviceman, the court may find there to be good reason to stay any suits. If it were up to me, I would call him and try to work something out. There is not enough money here to warrant all the motions and arguing.
