What steps do i need to take for my childs biological father, whom abandoned us at her birth, to legally relinquish his parental rights to me, her biological mother?

He would need to sign the proper papers. If he refuses, he can be held accountable for child support..... Depending on the abandonment, his rights can be involuntarily terminated. Go see a family law attorney to make sure this is done right.
