Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
My stepson has a wife, who has a cat that had kittens a while ago. There are now seven cats and two dogs in the house. My stepson has had to replace carpeting and flooring due to urine damage. He has gone to the doctor because of breathing difficulties. The doctor said that he has severe asthma and bronchitis, and that having that many animals in the house is deadly for someone with his condition. His wife does not want to get rid of the cats. Question: can he legally remove his wife's cats from his home. He owned the home proir to their marriage, and his is the only name on the house.

I always find it best to stay out of grown folks business. Your stepson is grown and he is the one suffering and its up to him and his wife as to what they do. Should they remove the animals certainly. Is it any of your business, No. Perhaps he just needs to grow a set and talk to his wife about it.
