Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I am trying to go from supervised to unsupervised visitation w/my 6yr old son. I am a recovering addict w/almost 3 yrs clean, have been through inpatient, 1/2way house, 3/4 house, sober living, and am now back home and still sober. I have been doing unsupervised w/my 11yr old from diff relationship for a few months now w/no incidences. I can see him almost as much as I wish and am very involved in his life. My 6yr olds father is making this as hard as he can on me despite what our son wants. I put in a petition to modify visitation. I am asking for your traditional non custodial parents visitation, every other weekend unsupervised. The judge ordered mediation which was unsuccessful. My ex wouldn't budge. What are my chances to get this?

This is not an odds based business. There are too many variables, such as how you present your case, how he presents himself, the past history and knowledge of the court about your prior acts, You could bring the father of the other child into to testify how your visitation with that child is going. It might help.
