Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I am taking over my divorce case and I have a status date next week. Do I have to present to the judge before status date that I am going Pro Se from now?

Going "pro se" means handling your case without an attorney, but it would appear that you are attempting to get legal advice from an attorney on this site. I personally believe that people who are not attorneys who choose to handle legal matters without an attorney should actually do so rather than just use attorneys for free advice.
