Hello. Termination of parental rights is a very
serious matter. You will have a difficult time
doing this, in my opinion, because dad still owes
your child child support and the court is not
going to let him off the hook. I suggests that
you file a petition for rule to show cause against
dad for his failure to pay child support. He
will probably have to pay your attorneys fees
should the court decide to enter the "rule"
against him, which means he will be held in
contempt of court, unless he can give the court
a reason why he did not pay child support; there
is no reason, therefore a "rule" will be entered
against him. I will be happy to answer any
additional questions that you might have.
