Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Terminating College Support

Can you terminate college support the day they graduate or is there some type of time limit? My husband pays support to both of his daughters who are in college - he has absolutely no relationship with them - the last time he saw them was in the Spring of 07. He knows he is obligated to pay until she is no longer a student - but we would like to end it as soon as she is out of school. She has an eating disorder and has over $25,000 in medical claims with his insurance - needless to say his insurance wants the coverage terminated as soon as she graduates also. What are the options we have?

Re: Terminating College Support

I do not understand what you want. If everyone wants to stop paying for her to go to school, and she is dropping out, then everyone is happy.

Please explain if I am missing something.
