Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Travel Abroad

My wife is filing for divorce. I travel overseas with my job. She says she will stop me from travelling outside the country, which will put my job in jeapory. Can she? She has finances and a house, transport, is not an invalid.? Doesn't seem right.

She can't stop you from traveling for any reason, let alone your job. Hire a lawyer to protect your interests.

I am uncertain as to how she would stop you from traveling? I can only presume that perhaps she means that you will need to stay locally to attend the various court dates? Can you clarify that question a bit? Thanks. Email me at [email protected]
