Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
visitation rights
In the court papers, it states ''both parties shall attempt to divide visitation on major holidays''. If the non custodial parent chooses not to excercise visitation on a holiday, is this considered contempt of court?

Re: visitation rights
Hello. In Illinois judges will not make a
non-custodial parent visit his/her child. How-
ever, the courts will suspend visitation if the
non-custodial parent tells the child he/she will
visit and then fails to do so.
