visitation rights

In the court papers, it states ''both parties shall attempt to divide visitation on major holidays''. If the non custodial parent chooses not to excercise visitation on a holiday, is this considered contempt of court?

Hello. In Illinois judges will not make a

non-custodial parent visit his/her child. How-

ever, the courts will suspend visitation if the

non-custodial parent tells the child he/she will

visit and then fails to do so.
