Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My W and I are getting divorced. I owned our home before we got married. She believes she's entitled to any equity accrued since we got married. Is she also entitled to share any loss in equity?

Not in my opinion. Talk to your lawyer. Marital assets are valued as of the date of dissolution so I don't believe that there can be any loss in equity.

I doubt it. What's loss of equity until you sell the home? It's an irrelevant figure.
