Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Hi, I wanted to know if I could sue my brother and mother for money I paid on their home. We had a verbal agreement that I would be paid for the mortgage payments I made after I moved out in late October of 2007. I dont have all of the deposit slips I recieved when I deposited money into the joint account my brother used at the time but I have about 60% of them, please let me know if there is anything I could do to recover the money that is owed to me. I made 20 mortgage payments from 2001-02 when the house was in my mothers name then she "sold" it to my brother and I made about 39 payments from 2004-07.

Without any documents setting up these "loans" and w/o your name on the title, you have made a very generous "gift" to your mother and brother. Without more, I doubt very seriously that you can recover anything but if you are determined to do so, you should consult with a lawyer in your area as soon as possible and certainly stop paying any more money on the house without some financial guarantees.
