Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My wife wants a divorce but nothing has been filed yet. The other day while i was at work, she left with our 3 year old son. She is concealing his location from me and i don't even know if he is safe. What should i do next?

File for a divorce. Only a court can help you. The police cannot help you. This is a civil matter to be decided by the courts. You have no greater rights than your wife does to possession of your child. Only the intervention of a court will give you enforceable rights to your child..
