Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My wife filled for divorce but won't show up to court. I filed a couter petition but they keep rescheduling the trial. I'm my own lawyer and she has a lawyer. How shall I proceed?

The best advice I can give you is to hire a licensed attorney to represent you in court. If you elect to proceed as your own counsel that is your choice, but is not advisable. Also, the court decides when to schedule hearings and has full control over its docket. It may be frustrating, but you will have to bear with the court and its scheduling.
