if my wife inherited money is it considered "community property" or do i have no legal right to half or a portion in a divorce settlement

IF you wife inherited money and kept it in her own name it is considered non-marital property. There is no such thing as community property in this state. If she deposited it into a joint account and kept it in that account it is then considered marital property. If she deposited it into a joint account and then withdrew it and put it into an account in her name only contemporaneously with the deposit, it probably would still be considered non-marital property. IF she waited a long time to do the withdrawal, it probably will be considered marital property.
