Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I and my wife are living in US for last 9 years. She is very abusive and I want to file a divorce. I don't think that I can meet any of the grounds for divorce in india ( Having Affair, Cruelty etc).

What are my choices. I can go for Irreconciliable differences in USA. But if that is not valid in India what's the use?

I know though that if I file in USA she'll contest it and would be getting spousal support for atleast 2-3 years.

Please advise.

I do not know the law in India, but you can file and get a divorce here easily. I don't have enough information to tell you the likelihood of her getting alimony.
