Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My wife and I got married earlier this year, she owns a house in Illinois which her license indicates. I own a home in Indiana which my license indicates. We now live together in the Illinois home while the Indiana home is vacant. Is this legal to be married and have different addresses? Also could not having the same address nullify our marriage in any way?

Thanks for the help whomever replies, it is much appreciated.

What kind of licenses? Driver's? That's a Secretary of State requirement, not a marriage requirement. It does play into things like where you vote, which state you pay taxes to, etc. But if you've moved to Illinois and intend to reside here, Illinois requires you to exchange your Indiana driver's license for an Illinois license w/in 30 days of moving here w/ intent to remain. But technically you can be married and have separate legal addresses for various purposes and NO separate addresses have nothing to do with being married. If you're talking about having put your respective addresses on the marriage license, that's irrelevant to the legitimacy of your marriage after you are married; it only has to do with meeting the requirements for getting married. PS if you have a mortgage on the Indiana home you better check your home owner's insurance there because leaving a home vacant for too long can VOID an insurance policy.
