My wife refuses to sign the divorce papers. What can I do?

You don't need her consent to get divorced in Illinois. If you filed under "irreconcilable differences," then file a petition to amend the pleadings to some other grounds that the facts support. Meet the grounds, get your prove up date set, and you'll be fine.
