Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
My ex wife has soul custody.
Now she is allowing me joint custody.
Our child will be residing with me in Illinois throughout the school year, I will be financing that and his care myself completely. I will be receiving no child support from her. He will reside with me half of the summer as well.
For the other half of the summer he will visit with her in S.C.
She and I will alternate holidays yearly...She will have all spring breaks with our child.
In the newly drawn up decree it is written using the word " RESIDE" when it refers to the time our child spends with her in S.C.
I am not comfortable with this wording.
Is there a legal loop hole or any issues she can pose against me using this "reside" in years to come, if it is left in the document?
Thank you,
D
