Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
Will somebody please tell me if I am divorced or not? I need an answer. I have been flying back and forth from L.A. to the Daley center. I have all this paperwork and no one to explain it to me. You people told me to fire my lawyer and then after I did you told me,"it's going to be very hard to find a lawyer with that much experience." What kind of vindictive shit is that? I can't find a lawyer who will tell me what these fucking papers mean. (And NO! I can't be civil! I was in the military, I am used to doing things a certain way. If you deviate I'm going to snap,)(Lawyers in 60634 area code please don't answer be cause you are my husband's lawyer and that would be unethical.) (I'm used to doing things and not complaining. That's why I'm not 'civil.' )I need a fucking lawyer! I can't get one! Do your fucking job!

You've posted repeatedly asking for free legal advice. If you can fly back and forth from California, you can afford to hire a California lawyer to explain the paperwork to you. If you don't understand the paperwork, you shouldn't have been representing yourself. There is no way to tell whether you are divorced or not since you haven't identified yourself, unlike all of us who sign our names to these responses. BTW, there is more than one lawyer in the 60634 zip code but the best thing you could do is call your husband's lawyer and ask him if the divorce is final. You could also ask your husband.
