Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
Can I write my exhusbands work
My ex-husband is to be paying me child support on his regular income and on his bonus (which I know he is getting every other week). All his work is taking out is the regular support that I am to get weekly and nothing from bonus. I can not afford an attourney due to this man who keep's playing games with me. He is also a compulsive gambler if he wins money from the boat's does he have to turn that in as income? Do I have the right to send his work the part of the divorce where it shows he is to pay childsupport and income from any bonus he gets?

Re: Can I write my exhusbands work
For child support the court looks at income from all sources. You need to get an attorney who can represent you in court because your child is being cheated out of money which belongs to him or her. If you can not afford an attorney then you need to petition the court so you can inform the judge of the additional income and so a proper court order can be prepared and placed with the POE. As far as the gambling income that certainly is income but to document the amount is very difficult.
I should mention that you should contact the Illinois Department of Public aid since they have a program that will help you with your child support. Call them now.
