Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

How many years do married people need to live together or stay together to split everything in half in case they get a divorce? Including the house. Thank you

There is no rule. The law says things are to equitably divided. If you are married only a short period of time, there probably is no marital property to be divided. The law says you are to divide what is acquired during the marriage. So there must be something to divide in the first place
