Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

i had a 2008 toyota FJ cruiser that was paid for and awarded from a previous divorce last year.. i stayed with a friend. I was unable to afford the new license plates and he Rick offered to help me.. His Allstate agent said Rick needed interest in the vehicle to insure this in Illinois. I am no longer with Rick, and am left with a title with his name and my name on it. He didnt purchase this vehicle and is trying to take advantage of me.. What do i need to do to get the title back into my name.. I live in Omaha Nebraska now.. Those illinois plates expire in Jan 2012
