Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois
My 85 year old Dad is recovering in the hospital. My sister & I live at his house. When I left and came back after two weeks, my TWO sisters and her boyfriend removed everything from our house (everything I and my Dad owned-Clothes included) Some items were sold for a profit which she kept for herself. Although my Dad was of sound mind while in the hospital, During all this-she was granted power of attorney through her own lawyer. She now has his check book and credit card - using it for her own needs. Dad is coming home soon...to NOTHING! He's still in the hospital and has kicked her out. Of course he will be changing the P.O.T. What recourse do WE have?
