Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois
Advice on what I can do about services not provided
I was in a car accident. When my insurance adjuster came to view my vehicle, I told him I wanted to take it to the Audi Dealership. He said take it to Westmont Bodywerks b/c they do Audi's outsourcing. I did. During my car's 47 day stay, twice supposed damaged parts were received. The first 1 week after I brought the car in. 3 weeks later, that same part was not in yet. My car sat disassembled the entire time. No one thought to maybe expedite a new part. On the 45th day, I was told they still didn't have an armrest. They offered me my car back and said I could bring it back 2 days later when they recieved the correct piece. I did and they assembled it. After recently getting a tune up with Audi, I indicated that recently, after the wreck, my door lock and window on passenger side were not working. They checked it out and told me there was only one screw put back in and that b/c of this, nothing was covered under my warranty. Before go back to pursue retribution from this shop, I want to know if I should get a lawyer involved. I have more info on the entire timeline and events that happened if needed. And also, the wreck probably involved 2-3 weeks worth of work under normal circumstances.

Hello. Sorry to hear that you have had such an
unpleasant experience. I strongly suggests that
you hire an attorney. In my opinion, one is at
a psychological disadvantage when trying to deal
with a legal problem on their own. Your's is
such an instance. Certainly, you are a victim of
fraud on account of misrepresentations made concerning progress on the repair of your audi.
I am sure you may have additional questions. I
will be happy to answer anymore that you might
have.
