Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois
I had a bad experience with an animal hospital. They were negligent and misdiagnosed my cat. The owner gave me about half of my money back, but I want a full refund. Even after they worked on her they sent her home saying that she was fine, but clearly she wasn't. She was easily treated at another animal hospital and is on her way to recovery. How can I go about retrieving my refund without spending a fortune? Thank you.

The physician in this case put in time with your animal an is most likely entitled to some compensation. The practice of medicine is not an exact science.
As for a negligence claim, you would need some proof of damages. Was your animal damaged? Permanently?
Even is your cat was misdiagnosed, the animal hospital most likely has supply costs etc, related to your animal.
If you have proof of negligence, not just a misdiagnosis, but negligence, you might try small claims court.
