Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

Clearing a judgement

I was sued and had to pay off the lawsuit. However, after i paid the plaintiff, the judgement is still on my credit report. I called the plaintiiff, but he said there was nothing he could do. What can I do?

Re: Clearing a judgement

Have the Plaintiff sign a release and satisfaction of judgement and make sure it gets filed wiht the court. Then send a copy to the credit reporting agencies.
