Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois
How do I collect on an un paid bill?
I own a small computer repair business. A customer stiffed me on a bill of a few hundred dollars. I would like to take them to small claims court and am willing to represent myself, but I read that incorporated businesses need a lawyer, and my business is an LLC.
My question is would I be able to use the pro se court because the amount I'm seeking is less than $1500.00 and not have to appear with a lawyer?
Can you offer me any other suggestions on how I can collect my money? Thanks!
