Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

Court Trasncripts

How important is it for the court when a dispositonal hearing is held for the court to transcribe the hearing process. Shouldn't a court reporter be present and transribe the hearing? In my case there is no copy of the court transcripts for the hearing held. Ins't that a violation of the law.

Re: Court Trasncripts

There are no laws that requires a court reported to be present at a hearing. Usually, the party who wants to have the hearing transcribed, orders a court reported to be present--at the requesting party's expense.
