Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois
Dismissing a small claims suit
I filed a claim in small claims court against someone who owed me money. We have since settled.
My question is do I have to do anything to dismiss the lawsuit? Or will taking no further action be okay?

Re: Dismissing a small claims suit
You have options, depending on the facts of your case. If there is a judgment, you need to file a release and satisfaction of judgment. If no judgment, then you need to file a stipulation to dismiss.
