ex's time share

My best friend and her fiance broke up after six years together. Towards the end, he wanted to buy a time share ''for their future together''. They both signed the contract but he put the entire 10,000 on his personal credit card. (she had about 30,000 in her bank account but wouldn't put down a dime because she didn't trust him) After they returned from their trip she found out he was unfaithful. She returned the ring and walked away from everything, the equity in the house, the unused timeshare. Now he is suing her for half the cost of the unused timeshare because his new girlfriend won't use it with him and it has lost appx. 80% of its value. I told her since it's been almost 2 years and she never paid him a dime for it, it proves she never intended to have any part of it. The only contract she signed was with the time share and that was fulfilled by his credit card, which was not in her name. She put almost 15,000 into home improvements in the house (NOT including paying 1/2 the mortgage for 5 years) but never asked for it back because she wanted to cut all ties and didn't want to be petty. Now $ is tight for him so he wants 5,000 or half the difference if he sells it at a loss. Should she worry?
