Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

The garage where I park monthly is valet. I have a new RAV 4. I am careful with my car and I know they have dinged and damaged cars before. I actually put homemade pads on the sides to lessen damage from doors. One morning I called for my car. I noticed that they parked it close to another car on the passenger side. It was unusual because there were plenty of spaces on the main floor. As I took of the pads off on the passenger side I checked the doors to see if any dings but it was parked so close I wasn't able to inspect the bottom. Something was telling me to check but I was picking up my son.
He lives 15 minutes away. I parked the car in front of the house rang the door bell and waited for him. As I waited I noticed damage to lower passenger door. It was not there the night before. I called the garage right away. No one answered. I drove back and asked one of the attendants what happened. He said don't look at me. The car was there when I got to work. I asked the supervisor he just said you left the garage. He gave me incident report to fill out.
3 things I noticed. The car was parked too close to another car for me to fully inspect the side. Also, the car was already upstairs before I even called them They are not suppose to do that. And when I asked the supervisor who parked the car there. He just told me I left the garage.
Via phone calls I can track when I called for the car and when I found the damage and driving back to the garage. I can tell you my whereabouts but the garage can't even tell me who parked my car.
Do I have a case against the garage or am I wasting my time? Damage was $900 dollars.
