Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois
a homicide occurred in our culdesac and there was a report in the newspaper about it. On the front page of the paper and on the page where the story was written there was a picture of my house instead of the house that they were referring to in the story. I am enraged over this and feel it lowers the value of my home. the paper retracted the next day after I called and complained however the retraction was a tiny blurb and a fraction of the size of the original story. there was also a picture of my house online. do I have any recourse? is this worth legal action?

You likley have no recourse, and it is certainly not worth legal action.
