Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

Can a judge cross jurisdictions, that is, if information was presented in a domestic relations case, and then the child and custody move to probate, can the judge in probate use the rulings from the judge in domestic relations without a new hearing on the matter?

Very possibly, and especially if the probate court imposed orders on the parties that must be observed no matter which "division" of the court system the parties may happen to be. If the probate orders were "final and appealable" then until someone gets the orders overturned on appeal (or rehearing before that judge if appropriate), all other judges may be bound too. Unfortunately, your information is to uncertain to be any more helpful.
