Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

Judge Mathis

I am having a problem and I would really appreciate your advice. About a year ago, my cousin started staying with me because she had no where else to go. Then, her car broke down and she didn't have good enough credit to get one. So I decided to help her, her being family and all. I bought a car, in my name, and allowed her to use it under the conditions that she would get insurance on it and pay me monthly for the vehicle. She did get insurance on it but I have seen no money for the payments. I have paid 1800.00 on this vehicle and I am currently trying to get it back from her. All I keep hearing is, the check is in the mail, and other excuses like that. I cannot afford to do this any longer, I own a house, truck, and motorcycle and this car is an expense I can no longer afford. Is there anyway I can get the 1800.00 I am owed for this vehicle?

You can sue her and if she has money collect it.
