Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

I have a lease till 1st of July. My Husband can not walk up to the 2nd floor any more he on disability and has heart trouble.Can I get out of my lease sooner without loosing my security deposit. Thank you

It all depends on the language used on the lease. If it is a standard lease, chances are remote that you can breach your contract without any penalties. One thing you can do probably is assign your lease: find another person to lease the property from the owner and then if the owner agrees transfer the lease to the new person and get yourself out that way.
