Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois
I live in Decatur, IL. and I loaned someone money who lives in Indianapolis, IN. money. I sent it to this person in the form of Moneygrams charged against my Credit Union Debit Card. If I decide to sue in small claims court, do I file in my county or theirs?

Do you have a signed note from hem. Did they ever come into this state. If they did not, you have to sue in Indiana. If they came here to borrow the money you can sue here, but eventually you will have to go to Indiana to collect on the judgment.
