Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

if I live with someone for more than 6 months...is it true that their property becomes mutual and devided when onbe moves out....dont seem right...someone told me that an attorny told them that after lkiving with someone for 6 months they are intitled to half their belongings! this is not true ...I hope thanks

In Illinois simply living with someone for any length of time confers no property rights.
