Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois
mistress, loss of companionship
My husband is having an affair. What recourse do I have against her? Loss of companionship? She knew my husband was married. She repeatedly allows my children to ''play'' with her children and lets her child attend activities with my son. I have made it clear that this is unacceptable, disgusting and harmful to my children. Not to mention what she and this affair is doing and has done to my emotional state.

Re: mistress, loss of companionship
You may very well have a claim for monetary damages against the mistress; however, you are not entitled to a punitive award -- only the actual damages you suffered from what she has done (depending, of course, on the facts).
