Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

personal property damage

I rent a locker at a local bowling alley. They recently decided to paint the lockers without notice. My equipment which was in the locker is now covered with paint. The management refused to take any responsibility for this, stating ''live with it''. While admittedly the damage is cosmetic, I would like to know if they are responsible for replacing and/or cleaning my equipment.

Yes. You probably have a cause of action for negligence against the people who did the painting and the bowling alley.
